According to NBC News, MP Lee Zeldin, RN.

Zeldin defeated three opponents, including the son of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani Andrew Giuliani. Zeldin had the support of much of New York’s Republican establishment, while Giuliani had the support of some conservative influential figures and Doug Mastriano, the Republican candidate for governor of the Republic of Pennsylvania.

As of 11:10 p.m. Eastern Time, Zeldin had a 20-point lead over Giuliani.

Zeldin, who made his name nationally by defending former President Donald Trump during his first impeachment, was one of 138 Republicans who voted against the vote count after the January 6 Capitol uprising.

In addition to Giuliani, Zeldin defeated businessman Harry Wilson and former Westchester County chief Rob Astorino.

This fall, he will face New York Governor of the Democratic Party Katie Hochul, who on Tuesday won the primaries over New York Public Attorney Jumaane Williams and MP Tom Suozzi, DNY, predicts NBC News. Hochul is now serving his term as former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo after Cuomo resigned last year over a sexual harassment scandal.

Zeldin faces a tough fight in a democratic state dominated by a majority that has not elected a governor from the Republican Party since former Gov. George Pataki won a third term in 2002.

Meanwhile, Giuliani’s campaign ended with his father, who is at the center of an investigation into the Jan. 6 attack because of his involvement in Trump’s attempts to cancel the election, accusing a grocery store employee of attacking him at a campaign stop on Sunday. The video shows that the seller of the store slapped him hard on the back. After the incident, Sr. Giuliani said he could have been killed.

Daniel Gill, a 39-year-old grocery store employee, was initially charged with second-degree assault, but later prosecutors reduced the charges to misconduct with intent to cause bodily harm, according to court records. The prosecutor’s office added two more charges: a third-degree threat and a second-degree harassment, according to records. New York Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat, offered on Tuesday that Giuliani exaggerated his claims

Lieutenant-Governor Antonio Delgado defeated activist Ana Maria Archila and former Brooklyn vice president Diana Reina in the primaries from the Democratic Party for vice governor, NBC News predicts.

Delgado, a former congressman, resigned earlier this year to join the Hochul administration after indictment former Lieutenant Governor Brian Benjamin.
