Los Angeles Police Officer Matthew Cruz confirmed the arrest warrant, but said he could not determine the reason for the warrant due to its “secret nature.”
Prison records show the 24-year-old’s bail was set at $130,000, and he has since been released. Police have not released any additional information, and it is not known what charges the warrant is based on.
“The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation regarding Miles Bridges. We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time,” the team said in a statement.
Bridges is set to become a restricted free agent this off-season.
According to the prison record, Bridges’ next court date was set for July 20.
CNN reached out to a Bridges representative for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
