In the month of May, the sales of major car companies of the country such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Tata Motors have registered a jump. Despite a global semiconductor shortage, strong demand for passenger vehicles across sectors led companies to supply a significant number of vehicles to dealers.

In terms of domestic wholesale sales, Tata Motors vehicle sales exceeded Hyundai’s during May, 2022. With this, the sales of the country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) in the domestic market increased to 1,34,222 units in May.
